A MAN shouted transphobic abuse at a person before throwing a lit cigarette at them outside a bar in Poole.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 11pm on Saturday, May 4, outside Temple in Bournemouth Road.
It is also reported the man pushed the victim, but fortunately they did not sustain injuries.
Following enquiries, a 40-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assault.
He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Police constable Madeleine Baldwin, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are following all available lines of enquiry and would ask anyone who attended the restaurant that night and saw what happened who hasn’t already spoken to police to please come forward.”
