A MAN has been arrested after an ‘aggravated burglary’ at a derelict hotel in Bournemouth.
Police officers were called to the Mon Bijou Hotel in Manor Road, East Cliff, following reports of an assault on Wednesday afternoon, May 15.

The victim suffered a head injury but did not require hospital treatment, according to the police.
Officers arrested a man, 41 and of no fixed abode, on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and aggravated burglaries.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “At 12pm on Wednesday 15 May 2024, we received a report of an assault at an address in Manor Road in the East Overcliff area of Bournemouth.
“Officers attended the incident and a 41-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drugs and aggravated burglary.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.”
This is not the first time police officers have been called to the abandoned and derelict hotel.
A woman was allegedly assaulted and a man in need of medical attention following another incident inside the building on April 25.
A 28-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man of no fixed abode were arrested on suspicion of robbery and released under police bail.
A 26-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and released under investigation.
