THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

JIM HOBBS, 47 and of Cambridge Road in Dorchester, admitted common assault of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Cambridge Road in Dorchester on January 8, 2023. He also admitted driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance on January 28, 2024, in Queensway Place in Yeovil. He was jailed for six weeks and disqualified from driving for two years.

MARIAN MOGODEANU, 35 and of Spencer Street in Northampton, admitted driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance in Christchurch Road in Bournemouth on March 3. She was disqualified from driving for six months. She was also fined £300.

VERITY FARRAR-HOCKLEY, 45 and of St Swithins Road in Bridport, was found guilty of drug driving in Blandford Road North in Upton on August 12, 2023. She was disqualified from driving for three years. She was also fined £180, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £72 and costs of £150 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

JAMES WILLIAM PHILLIPS, 37 and of St Pauls Lane in Bournemouth, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order made by Poole Magistrates Court on October 20, 2023. He admitted two counts of theft from a shop after stealing items to the value of £1229.90 from TK Maxx in Somerford Road in Christchurch on December 11, 2023, and stealing items to the value of £517.86 from Holland & Barrett at The Dolphin shopping centre in Poole on December 21, 2023. He admitted failing to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates' Court on April 26. He was jailed for 16 weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £517.86. 

SAMANTHA SAINSBURY, 31 and of Dale Close in Poole, admitted using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress at The Dolphin shopping centre in Poole on March 18. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40.

ARTAN HYSI, 40 and of Poole Hill in Bournemouth, admitted criminal damage to property after destroying an iPad valued at £800 in Columbia Road in Bournemouth on June 7, 2023. He was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £26 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SHANE MORGAN, 36 and of Thornham Road in New Milton, admitted driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance in Sandy Lane in Christchurch on March 7. He was handed a community order lasting until May 16, 2025, with a requirement to complete 100 hours of unpaid work, and was disqualified from driving for six months. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

DENNIS DARREN JAMES, 33 and of Marryat Road in New Milton admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood to police for testing in Stourvale Road in Bournemouth on March 26, 2022. He was handed a community order lasting until May 16, 2025, and disqualified from driving for 24 months. He was also fined £100, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95, and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
