A ‘LOUD’ bang was heard as two cars crashed in Bournemouth last night.
The collision occurred at the junction of Derby Road and Christchurch Road shortly after 11pm.
Police and the ambulance service attended the scene.
One witness described how a car hit another vehicle before “ploughing” into the traffic lights.
He told the Daily Echo: “We were walking down Derby Road and we just heard this quite loud serious bang.
“We were probably 30 seconds walk from the accident, so we walked down.
“It was quite horrific, because if we were a minute earlier, we could have been there when the car ploughed into traffic lights.”
He said that police attended the scene approximately ten minutes later, and he didn’t believe anybody had been injured.
Dorset Police has been contacted for more information.
