POOLE’S Twin Sails Bridge will remain out of action again today.
The bridge was closed over the weekend for inspection work.
It was originally due to reopen at 9.30pm on Sunday night, May 19, however, BCP Council said further engineering work is needed.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: "We are currently unable to lower the Twin Sails bridge, due to some further engineering investigation works that need to be undertaken before the bridge can operate as usual.
"During this time the bridge remains closed to vehicles and pedestrians.
"Residents are asked to take an alternative route and allow extra time travelling in peak traffic hours. Poole Bridge is still in operation, maintaining vehicular access to Hamworthy.
"Residents should keep an eye on BCP Council social media pages for further updates."
Twin Sails Bridge has been closed since 4.30pm on Friday, May 17.
