A MAN has been arrested after a woman was assaulted.
The police were called to Charminster Road today, Monday, May 27, to reports of a disturbance at a property.
A woman was reportedly assaulted but did not sustain any serious injuries.
A 25-year-old man from Bournemouth, who is believed to be known to the woman, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 11.22am on Monday 27 May 2024 of a disturbance at an address in Charminster Road in Bournemouth.
“It is reported that a woman was assaulted. She did not sustain any serious injuries.
“Officers attended and a 25-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault.
“The arrested man and the victim are believed to be known to each other. Enquiries are continuing into the incident.”
