THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

STEVEN PARSONS, 35 and of Bournemouth, admitted theft from a shop after stealing clothing to the value of £2705 from JD Sports in Castlepoint shopping centre in Bournemouth on August 22, 2023. He was conditionally discharged for a period of 18 months and ordered to pay compensation of £500.

CALLUM ROBERTS, 18 and of Castleman Smith Close in Blandford Forum, admitted possession of a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis, in Weymouth on January 6. He also admitted being carried in a motor vehicle taken without the owner’s consent in Weymouth on January 6. He was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £250.

SIMON HEBERT, 50 and of The Hill in Somerset, admitted two counts of assaulting a woman thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm in East Lulworth on May 18 and in East Lulworth on December 9, 2023. The offences were ‘committed on bail, in drink’ and among a ‘sustained record of violence’, court records show. He was jailed for six months.

MARTIN GOODALL, 51 and of Athelstan Way in Wimborne, admitted harassment without violence after sending ‘intimidating emails’ to a man and repeatedly calling him between September 25, 2023, and October 14, 2023. He was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months and a restraining order was made for the victim lasting until May 23, 2026. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £500.

PETER ABBOTT, 60 and of Boscombe Cliff Road, was found guilty of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence in Bournemouth on August 25, 2023. It was a ‘sustained incident on a lone female’ with ‘significant fear caused’ and ‘high levels of anger and aggression’, according to court records. He was handed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £300 and costs of £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

TONI CHRISTINA CRAGO, 34 and of Walton Road in Bournemouth, admitted six counts of theft from a shop after stealing stole alcohol and medication valued at £98 from the Co-op in Charminster Road in Bournemouth on January 27, stealing groceries valued at £299.60 from the Co-op in Charminster Road in Bournemouth on January 30, stealing items to the value of £161.30 from the Co-op in Kinson Road in Bournemouth on March 22, stealing items to the value of £89.75 from the Co-op in Kinson Road in Bournemouth on March 18, stealing sports and beauty products to the value of £283.45 from Holland and Barrett in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth on February 26, stealing supplements valued at £725.68 from Holland and Barrett in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth on March 1 and stealing clothing valued at £124.50 from Asda in St Paul’s Road in Bournemouth on April 15. She also admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Poole Magistrates Court on May 9, 2023. A new community order was made banning her from entering any Co-op or Holland and Barrett store in the county of Dorset for six months.
