Dorset Police have responded to a lorry crash in Three Legged Cross which has become stuck in a ditch.

A lorry has crashed into a ditch on Horton Road in Three Legged Cross after it was reported the driver left the carriageway. 

Checked over by South Western Ambulance Service, the driver has not suffered any serious injuries and recovery is being arranged and road closures are in place. 

A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 7.39am of a single vehicle collision involving a lorry on Horton Road at Three Legged Cross.

"It was reported that the lorry had left the carriageway and was in a ditch at the side of the road.

"The driver was checked over by the ambulance service but it not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

"Recovery is being arranged and road closures are in place."

Dorset Police have urged drivers to avoid the area and said it is expected to take a while to recover. 

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: " Motorists are being urged to avoid the area of Horton Road between Three Legged Cross and Ashley Heath as officers respond to a report of a collision involving a lorry.

"The vehicle is expected to take some time to recover, and motorists are urged to avoid the area."
