A wrecked BMW has been 'dumped' near Meyrick Park with the car's front end completely crumpled.

A grey 2013 BMW 320d has been left on the side of a road on Meyrick Park Crescent after it collided with an unknown object, leaving the car's front completely crumpled and the driver's car door so damaged it is unable to fully close.

Alan Hill, a resident on the road, said the car was first left on May 26 between 1-2pm and said he had heard a 'rumpus' which he believed was the car being left.

He said: "We heard a rumpus but decided not to go down and have a look but when we did go down, and I wish we had gone down at the time, the wreck was there.

"I don't know where it was left off a loader or whether they towed it off the back.

"It's quite a shame to see it there, this is an ongoing reduction in standards in the area as we've had large vehicles parking and people living in them for 14 months."

Alan reported the vehicle to the police who he claimed said it was a council matter and therefore have not taken action to deal with it.

Moving to the area for for a 'nice life', he stated it has become more of a struggle in recent months to do so.

He said: "When the car came I got in touch with the police and they said it had nothing to do with them and to contact your local department in the council.

"From a resident point of view, we moved here for a nice life and it just seems to be getting more and more difficult and we feel very much at risk now things like this are going on.

"It almost feels self-inflicted that Bournemouth is changing over the last few years so dramatically."

The Echo has contacted Dorset Police and BCP Council for comment.
