Local businesswomen are set to be the best dressed in Dorset - all in the aid of a worthy cause.

Fab Frocks of Westbourne, is hosting a charity fashion show on Thursday October 16 at Poole Grammar School featuring women from various local businesses.

Strutting their stuff on the catwalk will be PR professionals from Liz Lean PR, of Sandbanks, women from the Virgin Vie at Home party-plan company and some femme fatales with heads for figures - staff from the Debbie J Boyes mortgage consultancy in Ferndown.

Tracie Beardsley, co-director of Fab Frocks explains: "I wanted to put on a fashion show that featured real, working women, of all ages and all shapes and sizes wearing our clothes to prove that you don't have to be a catwalk model to look fabulous."

The show will feature hair by new hairdressers Mop, there will also be a Ladies Fair with cosmetics, handbags, shoes and jewellery to buy, plus healthy eating and personal styling advice from local experts Barbara Cox from NutriChef and Sandra Attril from House of Colour.

The show is organised with the Poole branch of the Soroptimist Society and sponsored by Steele Raymond solicitors.

Charities to benefit include the Jigsaw Cancer & Blood Disorder Appeal at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Harbour Challenge, a water-based activity centre on Brownsea Island, and Project Sierra which helps disadvantaged women and children in Sierra Leone.

The show starts at 7pm. Tickets cost £10, which includes a glass of wine on arrival. Details from 01202 697714 or 01202 765352.
