AMIE Gray’s family have paid tribute to an ‘amazing, funny, kind and energetic soul’.

As reported, Amie, 34 and from Poole, died at Durley Chine beach shortly after midnight on Saturday, May 25.

Emergency services were called to the beach at 11.42pm on Friday, May 24, to reports that two people had been stabbed.

A second woman, 38 and from Poole, remains in hospital receiving treatment after suffering serious injuries.

Now, Amie’s family has paid tribute.

Sharon Macklin, Amie’s mum, said: “As a family we are devastated to have lost one of the most amazing, funny, kind and energetic souls.

“When Amie entered a room it filled with laughter and her presence could not be ignored.

“She was beautiful inside and out and there are no words that can express how empty our lives will be without her.

“We will miss her so much and our hearts are forever broken.”

Amie’s wife, Sian Gray, said: “Words cannot describe the pain that we feel. Amie was the most loving wife and mother.

“Her giggly laugh and big smile will be hard to be without. A larger-than-life character. I will miss you immensely my love. To the moon and back, forever and always.

“Thank you for all of the love and support shown and for respecting our privacy. It is a difficult time for everyone.”

Amie’s inquest opened at Bournemouth civic centre on Wednesday, May 29.

A post-mortem carried out by Dr Purdue at Holly Tree Lodge ruled that Amie died of multiple stab wounds.

The inquest was adjourned while a criminal investigation was carried out, with a pre-inquest review scheduled for December 11.
