A TEENAGER has been hospitalised after being hit by a car near a school in Christchurch.
Dorset Police were alerted to an incident of a car crash involving a pedestrian in Stour Road near Twynham School earlier this morning, Tuesday, June 4.
A 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was partially blocked while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Four police cars and two ambulances attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 8.35am of a collision in Stour Road involving a car and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a 13-year-old girl, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening, her family has been informed.
"The vehicle was recovered and officers left the scene at around 10am."
