TWO men at the centre of a police probe after a pedestrian was injured have been released from the investigation.

The men in their 50s and 60s and both from Poole were arrested on suspicion of motoring offences on February 21.

Road traffic police officers rushed to an incident in Fitworth Avenue in Turlin Moor, Poole, after a female pedestrian was seen ”lying on the floor” in front of a parked Renault Scenic.

Officers taped off the black car before it was taken away on the back of a lorry for examinations.

Providing an update to the Echo, Dorset Police’s spokesman said: “Following detailed enquiries, the two men who were arrested have been released from the investigation and will face no further police action.”

The woman who was found injured was taken to Poole Hospital with injuries described as “serious”.
