TWO PEOPLE were detained after cannabis and cannabis vapes were discovered during a stop and search.

Officers were called to an area of Broadstone after daily reports of drug taking and misuse.

On arrival, drugs and vapes were found and seized.

A spokesperson for Poole police said: “Yesterday PC John and myself responded to a call from the community in Broadstone to fears that drug taking and misuse was taking place on a daily basis.

“We quickly located the vehicle and those within were detained for searches under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, where a quantity of class B cannabis, cannabis vapes were located.

“Both persons involved will be assisting with further enquiries.

“I’d like to thank the community for stepping forward to alert us to this behaviour in this area it’s so key to report to us either via 101 or Crimestoppers.

“It’s vital that we all pull in the same direction and without reports or intelligence it makes our directed patrols much more difficult and makes disrupting these issues harder.”

This comes after the launch of the 100 Days of summer campaign to crackdown on crime.
