DUST off those cowboy boots and prepare to immerse yourself in country music.

An event described as the “ultimate barn dance country music festival” is heading to Poole later this year.

Country Road Festival will take place on Sunday, October 13, at Poole Park.

The country music celebration will be filled with “foot-stomping tunes, delicious food, and line dancing”.

Taking place between 2pm and 10pm, festival goers will be treated to a live music stage featuring tribute artists paying homage to the likes of Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Johnny Cash and more.

There will also be a dance floor, an American muscle cars exhibition, a barbecue and American beers.

Plus, people can put their cowboy skills to the test on the rodeo bull and take part in a corn hole competition.

People are encouraged to get in to the spirit of the festival by donning cowboy hats, boots and western wear.

A spokesperson said: “Country Road is more than just a music festival; it’s a celebration of community, culture, and camaraderie. Join us for a day filled with laughter, music, and memories that will last a lifetime.”
