A MAN has been spared jail following a haul of offences committed across Bournemouth.
Munish Behl, of Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth, committed offences including fraud, theft, burglary and vehicle interference.
The 38-year-old had committed the crimes in order to fund his drug habit, according to court records.
Behl appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 4, to be sentenced.
The defendant admitted to six counts of theft from a shop after stealing multiple bars of chocolate valued at £159.65 from One Stop in Ripon Road in Bournemouth on November 15, 2023, stealing dog food and food items valued at £100 from the same store on November 7, 2023, and stealing chocolates valued at £252 from Southern Co-op in Bournemouth on February 17.
He also stole items valued at £220.05 from Asda Express in Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth on November 28, 2023, stole perfume valued at £200 from Boots in Poole on December 18, 2023, and stole multiple packets of condoms valued at £75 from Co-op in Charminster Road in Bournemouth on November 14, 2023.
He admitted vehicle interference after interfering with multiple cars with the intention of theft in Avenue Road Car Park in Bournemouth on January 3.
Behl admitted failing without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Poole Magistrates' Court on February 5, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on January 4.
He admitted theft from a motor vehicle after stealing items including a laser beam device and building supplies from a car in Birmingham on May 22.
He admitted three counts of fraud by false representation after making use of bank cards that did not belong to him in Bournemouth, spending £145.28 at Medina Food Store, spending £95 at BH1 Stop and spending £32.39 at a market stall in the town centre, all on August 23, 2023.
Behl admitted theft from the person, after stealing a mobile phone worth £350 from a woman at The Dolphin shopping centre in Poole on December 19, 2023.
Behl also admitted a charge of burglary, having stolen a bag from the staff room of Sol Eats in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth on August 23, 2023.
The defendant was handed a 28-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months.
He was also ordered to pay compensation of £500.
