Train services brought to standstill after trespasser seen on railway
TRAIN services were halted on Saturday afternoon following reports of a trespasser on the railway between Bournemouth and Branksome.
South Western Railway brought all trains in the area to a stand and switched off power to the tracks shortly after midday.
The trespasser was located and assisted to a place of safety.
In an update at 1.19pm, South Western Railway (SWR) said all lines had been re-opened.
SWR warned services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised, with disruption expected until 5pm.
