CHILDREN’S TV host Chris Jarvis fronted a successful Poole Pride event over the weekend.
The CBeebies star was at the Lighthouse for the first event of its kind, celebrating LGBT residents across the conurbation.
Chris was there to present the Proud Pooches Dog Show, as the dogs paraded through the shopping centre before going to the Lighthouse.
In addition, there was piano playing and placards in the Dolphin Centre with Lorna Rees artist and performer who ran workshops throughout the week and at Poole Pride.
Julie Sharman, of the Lighthouse, said: “Poole Pride was a great atmosphere, community coming together to celebrate in a buzzing, family friendly day.
“The event had huge support from the Poole community and was well attended and hopefully the first of many Poole Prides to come.”
Throughout the day there were cabaret, theatre performances and exhibitions.
Entertainment included Pop ‘n’ Olly Storytelling and Crafts, the Come On Out Cabaret and OutSpoken, a Pride poetry slam.
Meanwhile, in the Sherling Studio after 5.30pm, there was an 18+ show from Joe Black doing a 'dark cabaret reprobate' - a musical comedy based on the villain.
