EMERGENCY services responded to a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Sunday morning.
The incident involved a green Mini Countryman S and a Yamaha YRB 125cc motorbike at the junction of Station Road and Newlands Road in New Milton at around 9.30am, June 9.
Officers raced to the scene along with a fire engine from New Milton fire station, paramedics and the air ambulance team.
The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man from New Milton, suffered serious and life changing injuries in the crash.
He was air lifted to Southampton General Hospital and his family has been made aware.
Meanwhile, a road closure was put in place for a number of hours while accident investigators carried out enquiries and examinations.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the crash to assist the police and ambulance service.
Pictures from the scene show the rider being taken away on a stretcher into the back of an ambulance, damage to the front of the Mini and the motorcycle resting on the floor.
Simon Rowley, on scene, said: "A fire crew from New Milton assisted at the scene and the injured man was taken by ambulance a short distance to where he was transferred to a waiting helicopter to take him to hospital."
A spokeswoman from Hampshire police said: "Officers are asking for anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to get in touch.
"Did you see what happened? Do you have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle which might have caught footage of the incident?
