LOVED ones will be remembered at Poole Park later this week as organisers of an annual event have confirmed it will return.
Forest Holme Hospice, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, has confirmed that its annual Tie A Yellow Ribbon memorial event will be returning to the park on Saturday, June 15.
The free event, sponsored by MSP Capital, will take place between 12pm and 3pm and is open to everyone, not just those who have lost a relative or friend at Forest Holme.
Residents will be able to write a dedication and tie a yellow ribbon in memory of a loved-one, with the ribbons then being returned to the hospice garden for the remainder of the summer.
Craft stalls, special performances by the Citrus Singers choir and free craft activities for children will all be available at the event.
Claire Cooper, fundraiser at Forest Holme Hospice Charity, said: “This annual event is an opportunity for our local community to come together, irrespective of whether they have a connection to Forest Holme Hospice, to reflect and celebrate the lives of our loved ones by writing your dedication and tying a yellow ribbon in the beautiful surroundings of Poole Park.
“People are free to bring a picnic and enjoy this special occasion.”
