STRONG-MUSCLED and strong-willed candidates are being called to take part in a charity event.
Diverse Abilities has announced their annual plane pull on August 26 at Bournemouth Airport.
Up to 20 people can take part in the memorable event which will raise money to provide support to disabled people for a lifetime.
The plane weighs 35,000kg as competitors pull the Boeing 737 over 50 metres.
The money raised will help to provide vital support at the charity including:
• Days out for children who attend Diverse Abilities’ school holiday activities
• Much needed equipment at Langside School
• Activities for adults who attend The Beehive – the charity’s activity and therapy centre
Diverse Abilities is the only charity that supports children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities, and their families, in Dorset.
The charity is a lifeline to many families in the county and provides round-the-clock care and support, making every day better
Fran Potton, community fundraiser at Diverse Abilities commented: “This is a great team challenge, where you can get a team of friends or colleagues together to achieve something remarkable.
“You’ll be raising money to support children and adults with disabilities in your local area.”
