A MAN has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Christchurch.
Dorset Police were alerted to an incident on Hunt Road in Somerford earlier today.
Several police cars and an ambulance were seen in the area.
One man was rushed to hospital with stab wounds.
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
A cordon has been put in place outside Quantock Court and the authorities have explained that there will be an increased police presence around the area.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.01pm on Tuesday 11 June 2024 that a man sustained stab wounds in Hunt Road in Christchurch. He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
"A man aged in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident and there will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation is ongoing."
