BOSSES at The Ivy continue to apply for changes to their new restaurant expected to open later this year.
The premium restaurant, owned by Troia (UK) Restaurants, has applied to BCP Council to change the layout plan of its interior.
This includes a reconfiguration of fixed furniture on the ground floor, which requires a licence to do so, and to relocate the toilets from the first floor to the ground floor.
Planners have said there is no change to the size of the licensed area and all licensable activities, hours and conditions will remain as existing.
Work seems to be moving at its quickest pace since the application first went in in 2022.
Bosses have also asked for a new outdoor seating area with planters to be installed in the Square and a new door to be fitted on the corner of Richmond Hill.
As reported, bosses had pulled out of The Ivy after a visit to Bournemouth town centre put them off, but their decision was changed earlier this year, it is understood from sources.
Kate Roberts, a planner for The Ivy, said all the changes going on at The Ivy will bring “more life and vibrancy” to Bournemouth town centre.
