CCHRISTCHURCH High Street was closed by Police after a car hit a person on a mobility scooter.
Dorset Police responded to an incident on Christchurch High Street at around 3pm on June 12 after a person on a mobility scooter was crashed into by a car.
The road was shut off by police with South Western Ambulance Service also in attendance.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 3.04pm on Wednesday 12 June 2024 to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on a mobility scooter on the High Street in Christchurch.
"Officers are in attendance with the ambulance service. No further details at this time."
A Range Rover Evoque has been taped off after the incident with one couple complaining of the "gridlock" caused when an incident or roadworks happen in Christchurch.
A spokesperson for SWAS said: "We were called at 15:04hrs on Wednesday 12 June to an incident in Christchurch and we sent a double-crewed land ambulance to the scene.”
MoreBus has diverted all routes that pass the High Street in response to the road closure with 'immediate effect'.
A spokesperson for MoreBus said: "Christchurch High Street closed due to emergency response presence - all buses are following Market Day diversions with immediate effect."
