POLICE are investigating a fire that left a car completely destroyed.
What was a Mini Cooper lays abandoned in one of Queens Park’s car parks off Queens Park South Drive following a fire in the early hours of Wednesday, June 12.
The car is a shell of its former self, charred, windows smashed and what looks like a crumpled bonnet suggesting it had been in a crash before.
Police tape is wrapped around the vehicle. Dorset Police has been approached for more details.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called on 1:54am today with reports of a vehicle fire in a car park on Queens Park South Drive, Bournemouth.
“One fire engine from Springbourne was mobilised and on arrival found one car well alight. Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and the stop came back at 2:48am.”
