A NEW food festival is launching in Bournemouth this summer.

The inaugural ‘Foodie Fest’ will take place in the grounds of Musclifff Primary School on Saturday, July 6.

The event will present a variety of food and drink stalls, boasting some of Bournemouth’s best offerings.

Festival organiser Ian Black said: “We started Foodie Fest because we wanted to show off the great food that our local area has to offer, with our focus on food suppliers located within 20 miles of Bournemouth.

"In doing so, we give all you foodies the opportunity to sample the best and support local businesses.”

Jamie Davies, general Manager of headline sponsor, Snows Bournemouth, said: “As an active member of the Bournemouth community, Snows Bournemouth are thrilled to support this vibrant celebration of local culinary talent.

"Foodie Fest perfectly encapsulates the spirit of our region, showcasing the diversity and creativity of our local food industry while fostering a sense of community and togetherness. We can't wait for the event and look forward to seeing everyone there.

"Snows will be exhibiting at the event and giving people the opportunity to test drive some of their newest vehicles.”

Foodie Fest will also offer a number of family-friendly and free activities, from bouncy castles and competitions, to fun football skills and VR experiences.

Tickets are available now at just £5 per person, and free for kids under 12 when accompanied by a paying adult.
