A HOUSE fire in Burton which created giant plumes of smoke is believed to have been started deliberately.
An abandoned house in Salisbury Road, Burton, was set alight on June 10.
Seven fire engines from Dorset and Wiltshire, Hampshire and Isle of Wight fire and rescue services attended the fire which produced plumes of smoke that could be seen from miles away.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
"No arrests have been made at this time."
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service reported it was first on-site at about 6.40pm and tackled the fire with hose jets.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The fire is in close proximity to the school with crews from Christchurch, Springbourne, Redhill, Westbourne, Poole, and one from Hampshire fire from New Milton in attendance."
Firefighters responded to a fire at the same property as recently as May 23 which was also believed to have been arson.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service arrived on the scene on May 23 at 6.30pm and didn't leave until 2.30am on May 24.
