A MAN was arrested, and two knives were seized after reports of a disturbance in Winton.
Officers were alerted to reports of a man in possession of knives on Wimborne Road.
Shaun Anthony Vallier, 61 was arrested at the scene after he was found to be concealing two knives.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at around 4.30pm on Saturday 15 June 2024 of a man in possession of knives in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth.
“Officers attended and a 61-year-old man from Bournemouth was detained for a search. Two knives were seized.
"There were no reports of any threats made and no injuries were reported.
“The man was subsequently charged with possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place."
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates on September 11 later this year.
