BOURNEMOUTH Police intercepted a commercial theft of items worth more than £1,000.
Officers responded to reports of a vehicle known to have been involved in commercial theft that had taken place.
A total of £1,000 worth of perfume from The Perfume Shop and £100 worth of clothes from Zara were recovered and handed back to the shop owners.
A spokesperson for Bournemouth Police said: “Bournemouth South A-Squad intercepted a vehicle linked with commercial theft from Bournemouth Town Centre.
“The vehicle and its persons were stopped, searched, and officers located over £1000 worth of stolen perfume and £100 worth of stolen clothes.
“The vehicle was also seized for driving without insurance.
“The Items were returned to the Perfume Shop and Zara.
“Dorset Police do not tolerate shoplifting.”
