A GARAGE has applied to impose conditions on its premises licence relating to delivery drivers.
Shell UK Oil Products Ltd has submitted a minor variation application to BCP Council for changes at the Shell garage in Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch.
The application requests two new conditions are added to the existing premises licence.
The first condition is: “The premises licence holder will require all third-party delivery partners not to deliver alcohol to schools, parks or playgrounds."
The second condition is: “The premises licence holder will require any third-party delivery partner delivering on behalf of the premises licence holder to comply with all legal requirements pertaining to the retail sale of alcohol, and in particular to operate a Challenge 25 age verification policy.”
The application is yet to be determined by the local authority and will remain open for public consultation until June 20.
Representations should be made in writing to BCP Council’s Licensing Team on or before this date.
