A MAN was hospitalised with a broken jaw after being assaulted in Swanage.
The victim, a man in his 30s, got into an altercation with five people riding motorbikes and was assaulted by one of the group.
The South Western Ambulance Service and police attended the incident which occurred on June 18.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 9.24pm on Tuesday 18 June 2024 that a man had been assaulted in Rempstone Road in Swanage.
“It was reported that the victim, a man aged in his 30s, had been approached by a group of around five people who had been on motorbikes and was punched by one of the group. He was taken to hospital for treatment of a broken jaw.
“Detectives from Dorset County CID are investigating this incident and carrying out a number of enquiries, including CCTV enquiries.
“No arrests have been made at this time.”
