A TEENAGE girl was verbally and physically attacked by a 'chubby' girl outside David Lloyd in Poole say Police.
Police have appealed for witnesses after the incident which took place at around 8.30pm on June 6 outside David Lloyd on Cabot Lane.
It was reported the victim was walking with a friend when the group of two girls and two boys began shouting abuse towards them.
Although ignoring them and continuing to walk, it has been claimed that the female members of the group continued to follow but one of the girls attacked the victim and caused injuries to her face and knee.
Detective Constable Michael White, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a nasty unprovoked assault on a teenage girl, which left her with significant injuries.
“We have now obtained further information about the circumstances of the incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.
“If you have information that may help us identify anyone involved, please contact Dorset Police.”
Police have described the offender as five feet tall of "chubby build" with mid-length black hair and was wearing black leggings of a black jumper.
