A WOMAN in her 80s and from Poole has sadly died after falling from height in Worth Matravers.
A multi-agency response was sent to Winspit Road at around 2pm on Saturday June 22, after the ambulance service reported a woman in need of medical attention.
Police officers attended alongside crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service but the woman, aged in her 80s and from Poole, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman’s family and the coroner has been notified.
A spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 2.03pm on Saturday 22 June 2024 from the ambulance service relating to of a woman in need of medical attention in the area of Winspit Road at Worth Matravers.
“Officers attended and very sadly the woman, aged in her 80s and from Poole, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious. The woman’s family has been notified and the coroner has been informed.
“Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time.”
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We received a call from our ambulance colleagues at 2.11pm on Saturday afternoon (22 June) about an incident on Winspit Road, Worth Matravers.
“Crews from Swanage and Redhill park along with technical rescue teams from Poole attended to assist the multi-agency incident which involved a fall from height.
“Our stop was in at 3.04pm and we left the scene just after 4pm.”
