OWNERS of a popular pub are set to open a biker themed café with food, live music and a space for the community.

Adam and Simona Sealey, lease holders of The Bell pub in Pokesdown since 2021, are launching their new business venture this week.

The Two Wheel Tavern will replace the former car dealership, Economy Commercials & Cars, on Christchurch Road.

The married couple of almost 10 years said they used to live in London and often visited a biker café.

“We always said it would be nice to have one of our own,” said Simona.

Adam added that one of the former workers at the car dealership informed him of the closure and that was when their idea came to life.

The Bell and the Two Wheel Tavern are just down the road from each other, but the latter will be alcohol free.

“We started the Two Wheel Tavern in here [The Bell] but it was difficult because bikers don’t drink,” said Adam.

Instead, the space will serve as a café for everyone, with breakfasts, BBQs and rented rooms for community groups.

“Bikers do so much for charities and people think that they are bad, so they find it hard to find a space for meeting.”

Adam said that unfortunately many bikers find themselves on their own, so the Two Wheel Tavern aims to bring the community together.

“We previously arranged a coach for a bike show in London.

“A lot of bikers are on their own, so it is a nice for them to get out.”

Simona added that the venue will host breakfast before school for children, with croissants for the mums and ice cream for hot days.

They aim to keep the costs low to make the space accessible for everyone, with the café being biker themed, not a space for bikers only.

There will also be plenty of space outside the site for motorcycle parking.

The venue will host live music on Friday nights with Edd Fox and Stu Moss playing on opening night.

Doors will open on June 28 with live music and a BBQ from 5pm.

The launch event is expected to be busy, with organisers recommending early arrival.
