FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a gorse fire near a holiday park in Hamworthy.
Two Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Poole and one from Hamworthy were called to tackle the fire in Napier Road at around 12.30pm on June 26.
Located near Haven Rockley Park Holiday Park, the crews used a hose reel jet on the fire to extinguish it and dampened the area to stop any further spread.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Our crew from Hamworthy and two from Poole were mobilised to an area of gorse alight along Napier Road, Poole.
"The crews arrived to find a fire within an area of heathland and used one hose reel jet to extinguish and dampen the area to prevent any spread, all whilst conducting a thorough inspection with a thermal imaging camera to identify any hotspots and dampen as required."
The cause is unknown at this time and the fire service left the scene around 12.50pm.
