A FAMILY-run Dorset brand has made its debut in Harrods with its popular Brobes.
Founded by Max Reynold in 2021, Beach Bum aims to 'encourage people to embrace the outdoors and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of being in nature'.
Max said he started Beachbum to provide an affordable way for people to relieve the stress of lockdown by getting out on the water.
The brand initially gained popularity with its aesthetically pleasing paddleboards, beginning with the classic black and white OG paddleboard before expanding to include a variety of vibrant colours.
In response to popular demand, Beachbum introduced the Brobe, a product designed to keep fellow beachbums warm and dry.
The Brobe has been a hit, leading to several high-profile collaborations and features in prominent publications.
Beachbum's products have been highlighted in The Times and National Geographic. What started as a beach aid has soon become a national trend in fashionable coats.
Speaking on the brand's success, Max said: "We started Beachbum from very humble beginnings to help people find a way to de-stress and connect with nature during challenging times."
The latest milestone for Beachbum is the launch of their kids' Brobes in Harrods as of June 2024.
Beachbum's high-quality products are now stocked in several luxury hotel chains, including Limewood and Chewton Glen, high-end boutiques like Su Studio, as well as specialty sports stores like Sorted and Running Free.
Max said: "These partnerships further highlight the brand's commitment to quality and its appeal to a broad audience."
Max added: "Seeing our products in Harrods is a dream come true and a testament to the incredible support from our community.
"We're thrilled to share our passion for the outdoors with even more people through Harrods' incredible brand."
The brand teamed up with Premier League football club AFC Bournemouth to create a limited edition series of Beachbum X AFCB Brobes for both kids and adults, available in the club's official store.
Additionally, Beachbum collaborated with another local business, The Salt Water Sauna, on a special edition, Brobe.
