A MAN has been charged with attempted burglary and shoplifting in Hampshire.
Ashley Joseph Brown of Dinham Road was initially arrested on June 23 after a burglary at Bradbeers, a furniture store.
He was subsequently charged with attempted burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.
Brown was also charged with shoplifting from Nisa Local, Ashley Road on June 17, shoplifting from Tesco Old Milton Road on June 23, and possession of a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.
Brown appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on June 25 and has been remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at the same court today (June 27).
A 34-year-old man from New Milton, who was also arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling, has since been released without charge.
