A DORSET swim school has gone on tour to highlight the importance of water safety by visiting schools.
Puddle Ducks Dorset have been touring throughout June to share key messages with children about staying safe in and around the water.
Jane Bozic, owner of Puddle Ducks Dorset, said: “Water safety is always high on the agenda in all of our classes as it’s such a vital part of learning to swim, but we make a special effort during water safety week, inviting the children to wear their pyjamas in the water so that they can experience how much harder it would be to swim to safety should they ever fall into water fully clothed.
“We teach the children how to crab walk, float on their backs and swim back to the side after jumping in.
“Skills that are always important, but even more so at this time of year when children are naturally drawn to water during the hotter months.
“The fun activities are enjoyed by both our younger children and older children alike, from baby and preschool, through to swim academy.”
Puddle Ducks visited Montacute School Poole, Hoburne Bashley and Portfield School Parley as part of their tour.
