TWO properties in Bournemouth have been forced to close by the council.
Poole Magistrates’ Court has granted closure orders for 12 Cunningham Place in West Howe and Flat 6 at 29 St Albans Crescent in Charminster.
The order for the Cunningham Place address is a partial premises closure order, while the order for the St Albans Crescent address is a full premises closure order.
BCP Council had applied for the orders under section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
It had served a notice to the Cunningham Place property on June 12, and the St Albans Crescent flat on June 26.
Both applications were heard at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 27.
Magistrates ordered both the properties to be closed for a period of three months.
Access to the properties will be prohibited to everyone except employees, agents and contractors of BCP Council, support services, the police and other emergency services, and any other specified individuals.
Court records show the occupants of 12 Cunningham Place oppose the closure order.
