COCAINE and cash have been seized from a vehicle in Bournemouth.

The driver of the vehicle, a 22 year-old male, was also a disqualified driver, report police.

Officers had stopped and searched the vehicle in the area of West Cliff Road on Thursday, June 27.

It was part of a day of action by Bournemouth South's Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) working with Bournemouth's Neighbourhood Enforcement Team (NET).

The driver has been charged with possession with intent to supply, driving whilst disqualified and driving with no insurance.

In a social media post on Friday, June 28, Bournemouth Police said: “Officers worked incredibly hard on this particular case and into the early hours to secure a remand in police custody for the defendant to appear in court today.

"Well done team.”
