THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

DANIEL MACKINTOSH, 32 and of Melrose Avenue in Wimbledon, admitted drink driving in Exton Road in Bournemouth on May 26. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months. He was also fined £800, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £320, and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

KEELAN MAIDMENT, 30 and of Wimborne Road in Bournemouth, admitted five counts of theft from a shop after stealing groceries to the value of £60 from Costcutter in Cunningham Crescent in Bournemouth on June 8, stealing groceries to the value of £98 from Waitrose in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth on June 25, stealing groceries to the value of £35 from Costcutter in Cunningham Crescent on June 6, stealing groceries to the value of £15 from Costcutter in Cunningham Crescent on June 1 and stealing groceries to the value of £30.14 from Costcutter in Cunningham Crescent on June 10. He was handed a 12 month prison sentence suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £50.

SIMON RUTTER, 37 and of Woodbury Avenue in Bournemouth, admitted three counts of burglary other than dwelling, after entering Mr Simms Sweetshop in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth on June 27 with intent to steal, stealing alcohol and a bank card from the Arlington Hotel in Exeter Park Road in Bournemouth on May 31, and stealing multiple half used aftershaves, a coat, and bottles of alcohol amounting to the value of £895.96 from Bar So in Exeter Road in Bournemouth on December 22, 2023. He also admitted four counts of fraud by false representation after using a bank card that didn’t belong to him in Bournemouth on four occasions on June 1. He was jailed for 52 weeks and ordered to pay compensation of £100.

PAUL RICHARDS, 46 and of Edwards Road in Thornford, admitted possession of a controlled drug of Class B, namely ketamine, in police custody in Weymouth on June 8. He admitted using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress in Radipole Lane in Weymouth on June 8. He admitted failing to surrender to police / court bail at the appointed time at Poole Magistrates Court on June 27. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80.
