The following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

LEE PURCELL, 40 and of Bournemouth, admitted possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, in Wimborne Road in Bournemouth on April 24. He was fined £50.

CARL MILES, 33 and of Bournemouth, admitted to five counts of theft from a shop, namely from the Co-op in Upton. He stole goods valued at £15.40 on May 30, stole goods valued at £132.20 on May 24, stole goods valued at £132.80 on May 20, stole goods valued at £123.55 on May 22, and stole goods valued at £84.80 on May 27. He was jailed for four weeks.

DEAN DERBYSHIRE, 33 and of Fulwood Avenue in Bournemouth, admitted sending by public communication network an offensive / indecent / obscene / menacing message / matter in Southampton between September 22 and October 4, 2023. He was handed a community order lasting until June 30, 2025, with a requirement to complete 80 hours of unpaid work, and a restraining order was made for the victim. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

JAMES HAWKINS, 34 and of Weymouth, admitted theft from a shop after stealing alcohol valued at £84 from Asda in Weymouth on April 23. He was handed a community order lasting until June 30, 2025, and excluding him from entering Asda in Weymouth. He was ordered to pay compensation of £84.

RICKY SKINNER, 36 and of Verwood Road in St Leonard’s, admitted two counts of drug driving in Ashley Road, Poole, on December 5, 2023. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months. He was also fined £1000, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £400 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SHARNICE SUMMER, 31 and of Tatnam Road in Poole, admitted drug driving in Fernside Road in Poole on December 5, 2023. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months. She was also fined £100, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SHAYE HUGHES, 19 and of Norwich Avenue in Bournemouth, admitted assault by beating after assaulting a man in Poole on January 6. He was handed a community order lasting until January 31, 2026. He was also fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

TERENCE BRYANT, 39 and of Denbury, admitted burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal after entering Boots in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, as a trespasser with intent to steal on January 16. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

NICOLE PAIGE PUCKETT, 27 and of Station Road in Gillingham, admitted theft from a shop after stealing children's clothes to the value of £144 from Asda in Barrs Court in South Gloucestershire on April 24. She admitted commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order made by Dorset Magistrates Court on March 30, 2023. She was handed a community order lasting until June 30, 2025. She was also fined £150, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
