OFFICERS are investigating after a stolen car was rammed into a wall in Poole.

It was reported that the glazing of a rear door at a property was smashed in on Bournemouth Road.

A five-stone gold ring and a set of car keys were stolen during the incident.

The keys stolen were used to access a parked car at the house.

The offenders then drove the fake vehicle using fake number plates and crashed it into a wall on Haven Road.

The perpetrators then fled the scene.

The burglary occurred between 3.30 p.m. and 5.04 p.m. on July 1.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 5.04pm on Monday 1 July 2024, we received a report of a burglary at a property in Bournemouth Road in Poole in which the offenders gained entry, stole jewellery and then stole a vehicle at the address.

"We subsequently received a report at 10.17pm that the stolen vehicle - a Volkswagen Golf - had collided with the wall of a property in Haven Road and caught fire.

"It is reported that the offenders fled the scene following the collision.

"Officers attended the incident with the fire service.

"Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing, no arrests have been made."
