El Tequito Salsa Dip (Medium), 49p from Lidl
A really good salsa if you're like me and don't mind a bit of a tang in your dip. The label says medium but it is a little bit hotter than that, so be warned. No chunks, very finely pureed. Salsa-rific! 3.5/5
ASDA Tortilla Dips Mild Salsa, 70p
Very mild indeed but goes down smoothly. Fairly chunky and very tomatoey. The kind of dip you could just eat all day, but at no point would you get particularly excited about it. 3/5
Doritos Mild Salsa Dip, £1.41
Despite being the biggest brand name I would say this is the worst of the lot. Far too watery, no real texture and very salty. Considering it's the most expensive I wouldn't buy it. 1/5
ASDA Vine Ripened Tomato Salsa, 90p
Not too sure about this one. It's definitely a bit different, but it's unclear whether it's a good or bad different. It is very watery but has lots of chunky vegetables in there and is very tomatoey. 2/5
ASDA Hot and Spicy Tomato Salsa, 88p
Wow! Now this dip certainly gets your attention. Hot and spicy indeed, with jalapeno peppers, chilli and coriander, this salsa is a spice lover's dream, but if spiciness isn't your idea of fun, stay away. 2.5/5
