PLANS have been lodged for a new takeaway in Highcliffe high street.

A planning application has been submitted requesting a change of use at 338 Lymington Road from a shop to a hot food takeaway.

The unit at 338 was formerly occupied by PMT’s, and is next door to BigWigs Bakery.

The application, submitted by Mr Ibryam Kadiroglu on July 2, also requests a change from an 'existing dated shop frontage' to new shop front with an aluminium frame.

While the plans contain little detail about the proposed takeaway or its name, floor plans show the site would be adapted to include a customer seating area, service counter and a cold store.

BCP Council is yet to make a decision on the planning application.
