MACMILLAN’S annual bike ride through the streets of Dorset returned on Sunday morning.
Teams took part in three different races for the popular event, covering distances of 38 miles, 48 miles and 63 miles.
Starting early on July 7 at Corfe Mullen Recreation Ground, cyclists donned their Lycra and jerseys to raise funds for Macmillan cancer support.
Hundreds of cyclists peddled their way through Corfe Mullen, Wimborne and then returned throughout the day via Lytchett Matravers.
The shortest ride saw cyclists ride 38 miles through Stour Valley to Blandford, and then to Winterborne Stickland, Winterborne Valley before stopping for refreshments at Winterborne Kingston.
Then, riders continued along the valley to Anderson before crossing the A31 for the return ride around Morden and onto Lytchett Matravers.
Meanwhile, the gruelling 63 miles ride saw cyclists travel as far as Puddletown, Bere Regis and Milborne St. Andrew before rejoining the 48-mile in Milton Abbas.
Our photographer Richard Crease was there to capture the event.
