Revellers on a night out at Elements, Toko and Walkabout in Bournemouth were handed around 10,000 Kit Kats.
Police and nightspot bosses were thrilled to discover the simple measure distracted revellers and led to a reduction in offences of violence during the trial period
These revellers were snapped on a night out on May 3, 2004, when the trial with free chocolate was run.
