A DORSET arts and crafts showcase has called for final entries for its upcoming event in Wareham.

Dorset Arts & Crafts Showcase 2024 has called on residents to submit entries to its upcoming show running August 2 to 6 at Purbeck School, Wareham.

Entries are set to close on July 12 with more than 30 different craft sections including beadwork, jewellery, lace, recycling and more.

A spokesperson for Dorset Arts and Crafts said: "All residents of Dorset can enter their art, craft and photography in the competitions.

"Everyone joining as members can enter work for sale in the Members' Sales Gallery in the main Purbeck Hall.

"There is the opportunity to meet the makers in our art and craft stall areas."

The show will also have two guest exhibitions, work in wood and photography by Dorset Camera Club.

Work in wood will display the works of nine invited Dorset artists and craftspeople and will exhibit a wide range of skills including sculpture, wood turning, stick making, stringed musical instruments, marquetry, pyrography and coloured veneer plaques.

Children will also be given an opportunity to have a go in children's workshops with a variety of activities.

Further details can be found on the Dorset Arts and Crafts website.
