A PHARMACY in Wimborne has confirmed it will be closing and opening under new ownership.

As of Monday, July 15, Boots Pharmacy, based in The Quarter Jack Surgery, will be under new ownership and operating as the Quarter Jack Pharmacy.

It will be run as an independent pharmacy out of the same premises.

In a social media post, a spokesperson for The Quarter Jack Surgery said: “The incoming pharmacists are very experienced and focused on delivering a good service.

“This is an opportunity for smaller pharmacist-led pharmacies to occupy this space and to deliver a responsive and personalised service.

“We are confident that with the arrival of The Quarter Jack Pharmacy we will be able to deliver a quality service with shorter waiting times and to improve your experience.”

The spokesperson added: “We would ask you to recognise that during the transition phase, there may be some teething problems.

“We have additional QJS staff on hand to smooth this transition. If you have any questions about the transfer of your patient medication record and services information to The Quarter Jack Pharmacy, please speak to the pharmacist on duty.”
