TWO men were spotted trying to break into cars in an area of Poole.
Police were called to reports of men attempting to break into cars in Mossley Avenue in Wallisdown at around 3am on Friday, July 12.
According to the police, they had managed to get into one of the vehicles and had stolen a bag that was in another parked car.
Officers rushed to the area to hunt the men down and eventually arrested one man, 36 and from Poole, on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and another 39-year-old also from Poole on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
Residents reported seeing armed police officers in Hillside Road, but a spokesman from Dorset Police said they were not acting in an armed capacity but as ordinary officers.
